Regional leaders are disappointed that the Truckee-Tahoe Free Ski Shuttle has been postponed until next season. The much anticipated ski shuttle was a pilot program slated for this year and coordinated by numerous regional partners including: Northstar California Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows Ski Resort Tahoe Donner Association North Lake Tahoe Chamber/CVB/Resort Association Truckee Donner Chamber of Commerce Town of Truckee Truckee North Tahoe Transportation Management Association Truckee Tahoe Airport District Tahoe Truckee Unified School District. The program is expected to launch in winter 2012/2013 in an effort to offer an eco-friendly way for skiers and snowboarders to get to the mountain.
