Project Mana

Project M.A.N.A. (Making Adequate Nutrition Accessible) is the nonprofit hunger-relief organization serving the North and West shores of Lake Tahoe, and the town of Truckee. Since July of 1991, we have responded to the emergency food needs of individuals, families, and children in our region. Our mission is to "reduce the incidence of hunger and its detrimental effects upon individuals, the local community, and the region." In addition to emergency food programs, we provide community education programs including community gardens, nutrition education, hunger awareness, Kids Can Cook, and Dar a Luz. We also have two seasonal outreach programs--Fuel for the Holidays and Let's Talk Turkey.
